Overview
Our Rock Shop program ranges from several different levels based on age and skill level. This is an excellent opportunity for students of any age to take their musicianship to the next level by practicing and performing with others. In tandem with private lessons, the Rock Shop program meets weekly for an hour, and does not only teach students their favorite songs, but how to communicate to others while playing, how to work in harmony with others, and how to master stage presence when performing. Manasquan Music Academy has partnered with many local venues to provide these performance opportunities such as Asbury Lanes, The All New McCanns, River Rock, The Headliner, Salty’s, Laurita Winery, The Wall Fair and Manasquan Fireman’s Fair.
How qualified are your Rock Shop instructors?
Our rockshop instructors are multi instrumentalists who can help instruct any member of the rock shop. If needed, they can help round out the band by playing an instrument that is not covered by a student. The Rock Shop instructors are gigging musicians and bring their experience to the rehearsals as well as the performances.
What will I learn in Rock Shop?
Students who take part in a Manasquan Music Academy Rock Shop learn how to play their favorite songs with other Manasquan Music Academy students and their instructor. Each group has the liberty to pick their own songs, and even arrange them in a certain way. This fosters not only the love of learning your favorite songs, but also collaborative creativity! As opposed to taking one on one lessons, The Rock Shops provide a unique opportunity where students have to work together as a band, expanding their musicianship.

Lessons are available six days a week, and scheduled once a week. A one-time registration fee is $25 (due only at time of registration).
